Brady's homework

The Misadventures of Steve and Bob (and Joe)by Brady Doll

This story is about two people, Steve and Bob. They failed sixth grade social studies. They are now 20 years old, but they failed to get to college. The year is 3000. They repeat sixth grade social studies and their class project is to go back in time, back to ancient mesopotamia for two months. When they first got there, they had to find food. Because they had already changed clothes, they had some money. So they bought two camels, a house and some food. They weren't used to the hot weather and they were always thirsty. So they bought a house as close to the river as possible. They didn't know the language or the religion. Luckily, Bob had a cousin named Joe who came back in time with them, because Joe learned the Mesopotamian language when he was in sixth grade Social Studies class. Steve bought seeds and grew cops, then Bob cooked and sold the food, and Joe translated for them to help sell to the customers.

One day, when Bob was selling food, he sold a lot of it. He figured out it was to feed the army. Then he figured out Steve and Joe had joined the Mesopotamian army, so he decided to join also. Their army shared the title of strongest with Sargon's army. They heard that Sargon never lost a battle. And if he wanted land, he took it. Most of Sargon's battles were bloody, but they knew this onewould be the bloodiest. Both armies stood there like statues, but then somebody yelled,"Charge!" Steve and Bob knew it was Sargon who yelled"Charge!". They could barely see Sargon in the back in his chariot. Their army charged. They fought and fought. Steve had a bow and a spear. Bob had a sword. They saw Joe in a sword fight. Steve took aim, but before hecould fire, Joe was decapitated. An archer shot Bob's pinky off, andthe same archer shot off Steve's big toe. They killed the archer, but were overpowered and had to surrender. Bob and Steve both survived. Eventually, the two month period ended, and they left ancient Mesopotamia without a trace. When they got back, they were happy to be home. For their project, they received an A-, and the only reason they didn't get an A+ was because Joe died. Joe got a D for being decapitated.
