Neighbour's wedding

One of neighbour's twin - Si-Wei is getting married today. We moved in this block in the same time, nearly 30 yrs. Uncle & Aunt Lin are more like closed family friend, in business & in life. Therefore, we volunteer to help in wedding process. Daniel has an important mission - to ask groom getting off the car. In another way, Daniel can earn the first red envelope before Chinese New Year arrives.
That's what I have been talking about the missed or avoided part of process in my wedding - to kneel down to parents and say "Thank you for raising me up & Good-bye". The eight diagrams bamboo sieve is an insteresting tool in this wedding process. If you see this sieve, the bride has no baby. This sieve protects bride from the God. When bride sits in the car, the sieve will be in the back of car meants bring more children. When the car is ready to go, bride will throw the fan which meant put down her bad personality. Meanwhile, bride's mother will throw some water meant her girl is like the water she throw out, no return, she won't keep her nose in the future, also meant her wish that her girl can have good life with new family. Until then, I can't help to feel sad for uncle and aunt. When the car left, they are only two of them in the big house. Samui!
In some way, I felt better that my parents weren't not alone at home on my wedding day. When I left, they had my brothers & relatives with them. But, it was a super busy day... even for my mom & Mags. We didn't have too much sleep - 3 hours maximum. We woke up early, about 5AM. That day, it just didn't look like the clock would stop for us to take a break at all.
