Ambassador Hsinchu

We drove 6 hours from KHH to Hsinchu coz of heavy rain, Sunday traffic jam and lousy drivers. It was supposed to be 3-4 hours, however, we were lucky to get off asap. The traffic on high way from Taichung to TPE was 30-35 km/hr and it's about 200 km. You see how bad it was. When we arrived Ambassador, I was desperate for a hot bath. Guess what? They couldn't find my reservation which I paid on their own website. I did call them to confirm coz I couldn't make 2-night reservation on line. I did receive a confirmation number which they claimed this number was out of nowhere and my reservation didn't exist. Until then, I started to wonder where my credit card numbers and other details goes to. Well, it's their problem and it happens I was hotelier for a while. I started bargaining on price, on upgrading, on discount and whatever we could benefit on. Be honest, it was fun to see receptionist froze - that poor girl. Her supervisor was good but not fast enough, but at least, she stood still while I bargained.
Ambassador is the only one hotel which the price is over 4G in Hsinchu city. The building is pretty new (12F is lobby and rooms are above), Shin kong mitsukoshi department is from B1-8F) and the biggest shopping mall - Wind plaza is in 5-minute walk. You can see the big "On Sale" flag is on the Wind plaza in pics. Also you can see the sea shore on pics, and there is a ship passing by slowly (from 6Am to 10Am, it's still there moving slowly and another one joins from North), that's the good view from hotel room! And also the wind turbines... In the room, the adsl is T1, and the speed is really fast and stable. The glass table and leather work pad is my favourite spot. I have no problem with the room then. Oh, the service is good. Those girls are really helpful and smile all the time, even they have no clue what's going on. I like that smile, because, it smooths down the situation. But, I felt sorry to that housekeeping girl whom run up and down for DC's suit. I should tell her to use walkie-talkie or in-house line earlier on. DC & I bet she is the intern. I hope we teach her how to be more efficient.
I am sitting here typing and watching the housekeeper to make up the bed & clean the bathroom. Many memories come back - in EHL and in Four Points, good and bad. Oh, whlie I am chatting with Singing now, she reminds me what happened when we left the house. I was packing and somehow, I swear - "Scheisser" (but I did say it in undertone). Daniel was playing butterfly with DC and he heard it. Yes, after that, Daniel kept repeating it with correct pronunciation and tone. I know I made the mistake and I really like to reverse the time and fix it. DC couldn't stop laughing...
