Mia's concert
Labels:

It's Mia's first solo concert and all tickets sold out (400 seats). For this concert, Mia picked up 12 old Taiwanese songs in 1950-1980 by 3 song writers. Those songs were so simple and so touched too. How can they use flower, moon and star to image their mom or to describe their homesickness? One of them used 45 words to make a song and it's beautiful. There was no microphone, but Mia's voice was clear. I was surprised by Mia's Dad coz he is the one who againsts Mia go on vocal performent. He should be so proud of Mia coz Mia does work hard to promot Taiwan culture and continues with limited help from others.
When Mia sang the "Dessert stand", wow, we were really hungry. Due to previous long night in Carnegies, we didn't get anything to eat at all. Amanda, Cynthia, Jerome and Marc did have late breakfast, but we were just on time to make it to concert... When Mia sang about TW local food, my tummy really got touch of that taste.
These days, TW political mess really drives us crazy; it's better not to watch TV or read newspapers. It's good to have something else to do, such like concert or organizing Chris & Mia's wedding. It'll be on the 7th October. We are working on details. Hopefully, we can make it perfect!!!
