Fun fair

My goodness, after 1 week spring rain, it's time for KHH famous strong sunshine. Today, we go for a fun fair on raising fund for students who live in mountain. A soap maker is volunteer in this fun fair, so we come to visit her and others. You can see all those hand made soaps on the table which are from the North to the South of Taiwan. Those soap makers make those soaps 2 months ago and sell them today for raising fund. Of course, I bought some of them. See, it took them to make it (2-3 months), to mail it (1 week), to pack it (another week) and to sell it (whole day long, under 36 degrees with strong sunshine).

This fun fair is support by an association planning to help children who live in mountain. Those kids are from different family with different problem which lead their direction into others... TW has better sources than before and those kids just need "true" relationship and being taking care of. They grow up with grandparents, they don't have enough educational equipment; those things relate to their life and future. The assocation creats a "Knowledge station" to support every kid on long term educational sources. Hardware is easy to get from companies, such as computers and chairs and classroom. But most important and difficult will be the long term maintaince and support, especailly on website maintaince.

When you step in station, enter that platform, your direction is set. When you stop in intersection, the moment you step out, your life will be changed. This association provides kids more choices to prepare them before they step out. City kids have more tools and those kids have less qualified educational aids, so they are not on the same start level in school. The schools in moutain keep cut down year by year, some kids have to walk an hour (each way) to go to school. If they have that passion to walk to school, we should keep them coming for gaining knowledge and skills. Every child has great potentiality, they will be different if they can have skills.

I get to know more about this girl who is volunteer in this association. The schools in mountain have less aids than in city. Parents will send their children to get education, even send them down to city. But those parents who can't affort to send children off? Children have to walk hours to go to school but they like school, coz it is their only chance to be out of mountain, to be able to make life different. The passion to help will cool down and a person's ability can do little thing only. By following association's step, we can help more kids and continue doing it. Let's what's the next.
