Happy Birthday DC

Wednesday was DC's birthday. Ma went to local market very early morning and cooked this special dish - pork knuckles with Taiwanese angel hair noodles. It's DC's birthday, Taiwanese doesn't celebrate birthday by cake, we do knuckles with noodles. Those knuckles were cooked with peanuts, brought to boil and small heat for hours. Those knuckles were for dinner.

Before that, Ma bought us a nice Japanese lunch in department store where is Japanese's favour restaurant. We still prefere the local market in Dong Kang, super cheap and fresh! After I got things ready for Mag, we head to barber shop for a hair cut. DC hadn't get a hair cut for 3 months. He's like a homeless guy. He loves this barber shop, within 350 NTD, he got hair done, massage on face, head and shoulders, also trimmed his beard. DC was re-born. This time, it wasn't "Haliluya", it was boss's son. He is new but with good skill. He was nervous with DC's skin and soft hair but he did a good job.

Dinner, Da brought famous "Ginger duck stock" from Li Kang, also fresh-water turtle with a soft shell from his raise farm. The soup was so fresh and yamy! Good for winter time. In Chinese, we believe turtle is good for breath system and side affect with skin. Margo, a friend in Canada, she did used turtle shell to recover from carbon monoxide poisoning.

During dinner, Da's old friends from university came to visit. 4 of them are vat but in different fields now, Da's the only one has his own raise farms. They have the same issue- looking for new generation to carry on their experiences, especially Da. Mark is doing his best to learn from Da but I do believe if Da can teach in colleage or university, he can bring out many good vats or farmers. Well, Da tried once and he wasn't patient enough to answer question, plus some students are paid to have a good time, not to learn. Of course, Da wouldn't waste his time on those loosers. It will be such waste if Da kept all those priceless lessons to himself. Da is a vat and has raise farms. He got theory and works in reality. Anyway, it's difficult to find a person carry on their knowledge. However, after dinner, I took Ma to Lio Ho night market to get TW souvenirs and ready to go back to Dublin.

We stayed whole night up for early flight next morning. Basically, DC was excited to go home!!!
