Finish 2005

Yes, officically, office finished 2005. Here we came for a fine dinning. First time in 3 years, 5 of us could go out for a night. By the way, on my own defence, it's been a while for me to have a dinner reservation at 9:30PM. Last time I had food was 11AM for brunch...

Back to 6PM. Guys came home early coz it's last day and we were going out for dinner. I didn't know what time we should be in restaurant, but I did know we would meet in pub for a drink first - as an old habit. When guys were relaxing in room, I went out to get a pair of stockings. I know, I know, I know, I know I should get a pair in TW. (I wasn't thinking when I packed) There I was, running from block to block, from Spar/Number 1/shops, even they were convenience stores, it didn't mean they run 24-hour and full supply like TW's 7-11/Family. Anyway, I came back with empty hands, so DC walked me to other choices - Centra. Voila, BINGO! So, time to get ready and head to pub!!!

It's cold, therefore, we went into town by bus. A lot of people came out at night. Downtown was packed. The pub was fully with young people. Believe or not, many girls with summer dress!!! It was 10 degrees outdoor and even colder later on. After Tina and Gene arrived, the Italien restaurant waiter run to us that our table won't be ready until 10:30PM. Again, 15 minutes. Again, 10 minutes-guest asked for check already. Again, 5 minutes - a lady was waiting for her friend and she was doing her make-up on table. Finally, we set on our table 2 hours later then our original reserved time. However, here was good stuff. This Italien restaurant is famous in Dublin. (I don't know the name, I'll get DC to update it, and I forgot to take photo outside of restaurant - I'll get both done soon)

Time to have some nice food to scrafy out empty stomac. Had Antipasti Misto and Prosciutto Parma as starter, Saltimboca and Veal as main course (IC got Spaghetti Ai Fruta Di Mare and girls got shrimps to taste without notice), dessert - of course, home made ice cream!!! During the meal, Barolo was excellent choice!!! After meal, we even got Grapa on the house. We walked out with stuffed stomach and happy memory when other guests were singing and dancing. Hey, it's X'mas holiday, cheer up!!!

DUB after midnight, pub did last order at 11:30PM. Downtown was still bright and noisily with crowd. Taxi drivers tried to pick up business who won't give too much troubles. We walked home! DUB at night was fresh and so beautiful with street light on. This city, this country has so strong religion influence. I'd like to know this city, this country more. I am a beginer in DUB.
